Happy Roald Dahl Day!

Happy Roald Dahl Day! Many believe Dahl had dyslexia. In 1990, Dahl wrote “The Vicar of Nibbleswicke” about a man who has “back to front dyslexia”, and Dahl donated all of the proceeds to the Dyslexia Institute. The BFG also had a character who struggled with words: “Words is oh such a twitch-tickling problem to me all my life. I know exactly what words I am wanting to say, but somehow or other they is always getting squiff-squiddled around.”

Aidan met with famous dyslexic Jay Leno and received some great advice from Leno and others: YOU are in the driver’s seat of your own life. You can choose to follow or ignore any guidance offered. There is no secret to success for dyslexics except persistence, humor, improvisation and grit.
 

Dyslexic Kids Founder Featured in NASA Article

Scott Forsythe, college freshman and founder of Dyslexic Kids, is featured in NASA’s quarterly magazine! From Scott: “I’m honored to have been highlighted in a NASA magazine! I was interviewed during my internship there about the work I was doing, and the interview is now featured in the Flight Projects Directorate’s quarterly magazine.”
