“Having a learning disability doesn’t mean that you’re dumb, thick or stupid. It means your are more creative than anybody else. You have to think of different ways to learn things, handle things. You see things differently. Things that other people can’t see. You work harder than anybody else at school. You may be different but it doesn’t mean that you are stupid. Having a disability is a gift, but the sad part is, I’m struggling to believe that myself.”
