A poem about dyslexia by Jess:
“They told me I’m dyslexic, and that I’ll always be;
I told them that slue bea, sounds much better than blue sea.
They told me words will get confusing, and letters will be jumbled in my brain.
But I think kink pittens sounds more cute, and much less plain.
They told me I’m dyslexic, and dyslexics what I am.
But maybe I like the sound ‘ram’ much better than bam.
They told me it’s not a matter of intelligence, and I’m no less smart.
I told them I like reet strart much better than street art.
They told me I’m dyslexic, and that I’ll always be
But the alphabet is so much more beautiful to me.”
